Yes. Every property on Rare Finds Africa has been visited in person by our team. We check access roads, water supply, power, safety of structures, and whether the property matches its photos before it goes live. We also maintain an ongoing relationship with each property owner to ensure standards don't slip. If we wouldn't stay there ourselves, it doesn't go on the platform.

The process involves an initial submission, a site visit from our team, and a curation review. Cancellation policies vary by property and are clearly stated on each listing before you book. Most properties offer a full refund for cancellations made more than 72 hours before check-in, and a partial refund within 72 hours. In cases of genuine emergency, we work directly with property owners to find a fair resolution. We're a small, human team — we treat every situation individually.
